Platinum Endurance Championship

Introduction

The Platinum Endurance Championship is a fun racing series, with talented and competitive drivers. Your primary goal, as a Team and a Driver, should always be to drive cleanly and safely while on track. All participants should strive to act professionally and demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. We consider this to be mitigating misconduct on track, in chat, in the Discord Server or anywhere else. Derogatory, offensive or otherwise inappropriate language is prohibited in all communication forums; Race Control reserves the right to evaluate potential problems on a contextual basis.

Series Organizers reserve the right to change the regulations before and during the season. These changes will be communicated in the Discord Server.

Incident Reporting

A report form will be made available at the start of the week.
The form will require the timeslot in iRacing which Admin will then review during the race or post-race. People can report incidents during practice sessions as well but we do not save the replay file nor live steward the practice sessions and therefore only video’s or clips will be used as evidence.

This system will be primarily used to identify intentional and/or malicious incidents, however there is a list of penalties that can be applied, which you can find below. The report form for an incident has to be filled in 20 minutes after the incident.

Steward Penalties

Custom rules/penalties:
• Incorrect Car Number or Team ID
• Incorrect Driver Rated Lineup
These custom penalties will lead into a drive-through penalty. 3 Warnings for a team in the same race will automatically result in a Drive-Through Penalty

iRacing’s Sporting Code is in effect and will cover any other issues. We hope this will be enough to keep racing mostly sensible.

Penalty Points

The penalty points received will follow up Into the next race, and following race a quali ban when u reach 10 penalty points.
So for example, when you reach 5 penalty points In race 1, and 5 points In race 2 u will receive a quali ban for race 3. Stewards can still decide to disqualify when severe reckless driving Is determined.

Warning

Each team’s Penalty Points will be updated as incidents are reported and analyzed in Discord.

Starting procedure

The start of every class will be held in a starting zone/box. • The order of the grid places is LMP2>GTE>GT3
• The slower car classes leave a gap of 5-10 seconds before they start.
• The leader of each class needs to hold a steady pace to start the race.

• The class leader can accelerate where they want in the green zone to start the race.

Its important that driver ignore the green light given by iracing

• The race does not start for the slower classes when iRacing gives green. The class leader holds a steady pace until they are in the green starting zone and choose in the zone where they start the race.
• Pro and AM classes will start at the same time. (AM and Pro drivers can be mixed together on the grid, depending what the result of the quali is)

• The driver who sets the fastest time in Qualifying will be the driver to start the race. If a team fail to do so they’ll be given a DT
